Teach & Learn in Spain

The objective of the Teach & Learn in Spain Program is to offer native English-speaking students the opportunity to earn a Master’s Degree and gain experience in a school in the region of Madrid (Comunidad de Madrid) as a language assistant. This is a yearlong academic program, with on-site classes on Fridays from 3:30-8:30pm.

Application period: from November 20th, 2019.

Students can choose one of the following Masters’ Degrees:

Each MA Degree is accredited by the Universidad de Alcalá and includes 60 ECTS credits.

The cost of the program is: €3.800 for Option B and 4.200 for Option C.

How to fund your studies

When applying to the Master program students can choose one of the following options:

OPTION A (Tuition Remission)OPTION B (Out-of-Pocket Tuition)OPTION C (Out-of-Pocket Tuition)
DESCRIPTIONStudent is placed in a charter or private school (Community of Madrid) as a Language Assistant. There are a limited number of placements.
Students in Option A recieve financial aid, and do not pay out-of-pocket for tuition.
Student requests a placement in a public school (Comunidad de Madrid) as a language assistant. With this option, student pays tuition and gets a monthly stipend through the Comunidad de Madrid.Student is not placed in a school as a Language Assistant.
Students in Option C already have jobs in a field relating to education. They pay tuition out-of-pocket.
STUDENT OBTAINS- Between €600 and €800 per month (9,5 months)

PAYING FOR THE PROGRAMStudents pay a 500€ deposit (after acceptance), which will be refunded after completion of the program in June, minus any PayPal fees incurred.

Once the deposit is recieved by Instituto Franklin-UAH, no refunds will be given under any circumstances.
Total cost of program: 3,800€
Payment Schedule is as follows:
First payment/deposit: €500 (after acceptance)
- Second payment: €3,100 (May before program stars)
Note that paying in full entitles the student to a €200 discount

Once payments are received by Instituto Franklin-UAH, students are not entitled to a refund under any circumstances

· First payment: €500 (after acceptance)
· Second payment: €1,000 (May before program starts)
· Third payment: €1,100 (October of program)
· Final payment: €1,200 (February of program)

Once payments are recieved by Instituto Franklin-UAH, no refunds will be given under any circumstances

- Second payment: €3.500 (May before program start)

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA- Must have a BA Diploma or expect to obtain by July before the program starts- Must have a BA Diploma or expect to obtain by July before program start
- Must not be in their third consecutive year in the Community of Madrid’s Auxiliares de Conversación program
- Must have a BA Diploma or expect to obtain by July before program start
- Should already have a job as a teacher or work in a teaching-related field

- Should be legally able to work in Spain.
