Teach & Learn in Spain

The objective of the Teach & Learn in Spain Program is to offer native English speaking students the opportunity of studying a Master’s Degree and be a language assistant in a school of the region of Madrid (Comunidad de Madrid). This program lasts one year.



This program offers funding to all admitted students.

Students can choose one of the following Masters’ Degrees:

Each MA Degree is accredited by the Universidad de Alcalá and includes 60 ECTS credits.

The cost of the program is €3,800.


How to fund your studies

When applying to the Master program students can choose one of the following options:

DESCRIPTIONStudent requests a placement in a charter or private school (Comunidad de Madrid) as language assistant. There is a limited number of placements.
Students accepted into this option will obtain Financial Aid and Tuition Remission.
Student requests a placement in a public school (Comunidad de Madrid) as language assistant. Under this option student gets a monthly stipend and pays tuition.
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY CRITERIAHold a BA Degree Diploma- Hold BA Diploma or expects to hold before May 2017
- Not having been a language assistant in Comunidad de Madrid for the last two consecutive years.
DURATIONSep 15, 2017 – June 30, 2018
(between 18 and 25 hours per week)
Oct 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018
(16 hours per week*)
STUDENT OBTAINS- Between 600€ and €800 per month (9,5 months)

- Tuition remission
- €1,000 per month (9 months)*

APPLICATION PAYMENTStudents pay a deposit: €500 (Mar 28 – Apr 10, 2017).
This deposit will be reimbursed as long as the student completes the program and does not leave before June 30, 2018
Early Bird application period:
- First payment: €500 (January 10-30, 2017)
- Second payment: €3,100 (May 15-30, 2017)
Student gets a 200€ discount

Standard application period:
· First payment: €500 (Mar 28 – Apr 10, 2017)
· Second payment: €1,000 (May 15-30, 2017)
· Third payment: €1,100 (Oct 1-15, 2017)
· Final payment: €1,200 (Feb 1-15, 2018)

Notification of acceptance: Mar 28, 2017

Students who are not eligible for OPTION A will be accepted under OPTION B as long as they meet the requirements and agree with the conditions
