Discrepancies in the direction of the Spanish and American social policy make it interesting to study European and especially Spanish politics, which is based on the protection of the welfare state. And, by contrast, through this project, the aim is to analyze the American protection policy under the liberal capitalist approach. There are four basic pillars that are intended to be analyzed in this project: firstly, public social spending on education; second, that made by the two countries on family policy; third, the minor protection policies; and finally, all measures aimed at the elderly and dependent
