Annual Research Plan

Research Initiation Aids


Instituto Franklin-UAH allocates funds for the initiation in the research training of postgraduate students in the field of American Studies.

Call 2018

CLOSED. Two grants aimed at postgraduate students who are interested in starting their research on a subject related to American Studies at Instituto Franklin-UAH.

The deadline for submitting applications will be open between January 19 and February 2, both included.


  • To have an undergrad title or have the necessary conditions to have it once the period of the scholarship begins.
  • Having an average grade equivalent or superior to 7.00.
  • English C1 or higher.


  • The enjoyment of the scholarship will last for 12 months.
  • The endowment will amount 9.960€ (830€ per month).
  • This scholarship is incompatible with any other scholarship or grant of the same kind, or any other salary.
  • An adequate space for the study will be provided on the premises of the Instituto Franklin-UAH.
  • The beneficiary will agree on a research plan with the tutor of the project.

Selection process

The selection will be made by the Research Commission of Instituto Franklin-UAH, which will based their decision on the candidates’ CV, transcripts, and quality of the proposal for his or her research project.

The name of the beneficiary will be published in this page.
