November 29th, 2019
Instituto Franklin-UAH is organizing the Annual International Seminar on Bilingual Education entitled “Bilingual and Bicultural Development for Teachers and Students” to be held on Friday, November 29th, 2019 at Universidad de Alcalá.
In this seminar, speakers and attendees will have the opportunity to dive into what is already known about the relationship between bilingual education systems, culture, and bilingualism, as well as to share best practices for bilingual Spanish-English classrooms. There will be a focus on the importance of bicultural and bilingual professional development for teachers and students in the classroom setting. Additionally, participants will be able to deepen their own cultural awareness and analyze how culture can impact the learning process of students in bilingual and bicultural educational settings.
This event is aimed at instructors and teachers of both English language (accredited or unaccredited) and those who teach subjects that are likely to be taught in English from all levels of education: early childhood, primary and secondary education and also and postsecondary and alternative education (FP). Language Assistants are encouraged to participate and attend.
This seminar, including the talks and the networking breaks, will be conducted in English.
