Researcher Member. Full Professor at the Universidad de Alcalá. Department of Modern Philology.
Bachelor’s Degree in English Philology and PhD by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University from 1994 to 1996 and he is a Fellow of the Matthiessen Room of that same university. He has published over twenty books with publishers such as Cátedra, Espasa-Calpe, Huerga y Fierro, etc. In the United States, he has published with university publishers such as Duke University Press, University of Iowa Press, Bilingual Press, etc. He is a member of the “Board of Editorial Advisors” of the Recovering the US project. Hispanic Literary Heritage. He is a regular contributor to the newspapers El Mundo and El Confidencial.
