The Master´s program includes 60 credits ECTS (European Credit Transfer System). Credits are distributed in the following way:

• 32 course credits
• 18 internship credits
• 10 Thesis credits

Objectives:

• Offer students a theoretical and practical framework where they can learn and apply different concepts and ideas about internacional education in general and bilingual education in particular.
• Experience through an internship the daily challenges and reality of schools which have implemented a bilingual program in the Community of Madrid. See how schools are influenced by internacional trends and political, economic, social and cultural changes. This internship allows teaching assistants a real working and living experience which will improve their intercultural skills, teaching practices, social and professional networks.
• Identify future tendencies and aspects which will affect International Education and the people who work in it.
• To promote diversity and flexibility of teaching methods, assesment, and evaluation.
   

Academic Calendar (2012- 2013)

• Pre- admission: from December 15th, 2011 to February 15th, 2012.
• Application original documents: February 29th, 2011- May 30th, 2012
• Students arrival: September 1st, 2012
• Orientation Sessions: September 5th & 6th, 2012
• Classes start: September 10th, 2012
• Classes end: June 30th, 2013

Degree and Diploma

• Master's Degree in Spain can be either recognized by the Ministry of Education (Máster Oficial), or by the different Universities (Máster Propio).
  
• The Teach & Learn Master's Degrees are accredited by the Estudios Propios Office of the Universidad de Alcalá.
  
• Students interested in pursuing a PhD should consider enrolling in a Máster Oficial not a Máster Propio.
  
• Instituto Franklin will provide a certificate of completion with grades at the end of the program.

Diploma
In order to obtain official transcripts and the Masters Diploma at the end of the program, students must contact the Estudios Propios Office.
