1. Who can apply?
All native English speaking students who already have a Bachelor’s Degree.
2. What are the language requirements for the Masters' Degree classes and for the internship?
Classes are taught in both English and Spanish for the Master's in Bilingual and Multicultural Education and
students may have an intermediate Spanish level.
For the Masters' Enseñanza de la lengua, literatura, cultura en el Mundo Hispánico
and Aprendizaje y Enseñanza del Español como Lengua Extranjera students may have an advanced Spanish
level as courses are taught in Spanish.
3. How many hours per week will students assist teachers at schools?
Students may have18 or 24 teaching hours per week but there are some exceptions according to schools’ needs
as some interns may work 25 hours a week.
4. Where are the Masters' classes to be given?
It depends on the Master's programs. This aspect will be determined moreover.
5. Are the listed compensation amounts subject to taxes?
Students are considered interns not "employees" and the internship is not taxable.
6. Where are the internship schools located?
Schools are located all around the Comunidad de Madrid (Madrid region).
7. How long will students be able to stay in Spain with a student visa before the program starts and after
the program is finished?
The duration of the visa lasts one year, from September 2011 to September 2012.
8. How demanding is this program?
The program is very demanding since students are studying a Master’s Program and doing an internship at the same time.
