- Nature: Approach studies about Hispanics in the United States.
- Candidates: European (not Spanish) researchers pre- post doctorate graduates. (max. 2 years).
- Conditions: The scholarship holder must state the received aid in the publications derived from the research during the scholarship period. The scholarship is incompatible with any other scholarship or financial aid from private or public funds.
- Scope: Instituto Franklin will fund the scholarship with the amount of 1.600€ for researching. It consists of 600€ for accommodation expenses, 200€ for transportation, 100€ for photocopies and office material, 100€ for computer support and 600€ for books from the specific bibliography suggested by the applicant. These books will be part of the Instituto Franklin - UAH book collection but they will be offered to the applicant during the scholarship. There will also be provided a comfortable place to research inside the Instituto Franklin - UAH building.
- Duration and dates: 15 days in July or the first two weeks of September.

- Résumé
- Academic transcripts if the applicant is a research intern or letter from the University if the applicant is a professor (in letterhead paper).
- Signed document stating that the applicant does not receive any other financial aid during the same period
- Statement of purpose describing the objectives, importance and methodology of the project, together with a list of the needed bibliography for it.
- Application deadline: April 13th, 2012. The application form and submission papers must be sent by e-mail to olga.villegas@institutofranklin.net
- Resolution: it will be announced in Instituto Franklin's website at the end of April, 2012. (approx).
- Eligibility criteria: A Commission designated by Instituto Franklin - UAH will study the proposals and evaluate them.
