U.S. history, literature, culture, and society. Northamerican studies

US History, Literature, Culture, and Society is an area of research dedicated to the History, Literature, Culture, and Society of the United States and has been a main line of research from its Instituto Franklin origins included in the relations between the United States with Europe, specifically Spain.  This area of research is multidisciplinary and studies fields such as history, literature, art, film, and culture in North America. 

In the area of US Culture, the Instituto Franklin organized the "4th Annual Conference on holidays, rituals festival, celebrations, and public display”, in collaboration with Bowling Green State University in June 2000.  In the area of sociology, one of the highlights has been "Jornadas de Etnicidad y Migración en Estados Unidos y España," in collaboration with Florida International University during 20th -21st of February 2003.
