International Symposium: Transfer of Ideas and Social Models in Transatlantic Perspective, 1950-1970

Description: The research group "Spain and United States. Cultural and International Relations Transfer" organizes this activity, which will study different social models and ideas at the transatlantic sphere, especially in the US, Spain and the UK in the 50's and the 60's. The symposium is addressed to professors and students who may be insterested in History of International Relations, Transatlantic Relations and cultural exchanges.

Frames of Ethics is an internationa symposium that brings philosophers from USA and Spain together to discuss the limits and possibilities of current ethic thinking .
This event is coordinated with the special conference by professor Simon Critchley (Hans Joas Professor, New School for Social Research) at the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid, on May 30, entitled “Tragedy’s Philosophy. Philosophy’s Tragedy", as well as a seminar on his last work, The Faith of the Faithless.
