8th International Conference on Chicano Literature

Crossing the Borders of Imagination
Toledo, May 24-26, 2012
 Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha will host the 8th International Conference on Chicano Literature. Instituto Franklin – UAH issues a call for panels and a call for papers and welcomes post-graduate students as well as more established scholars to present proposals that focus on any subfield within Chicano Studies.

Important information: Toledo is a medieval city with steeped, stony streets. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Please notice there is no translation service. English will be the main language of communication.

VENUES:

- The Conference will take place at the Palacio de Lorenzana. (C/ Cardenal Lorenzana 1, 45071 Toledo) Please see the map included in this website.

-The Art Exhibition by Annick Tréguer will be displayed at the Facultad de Humanidades (Plaza de Padilla 4, 45071 Toledo), 3 mins. walk from the conference venue.

 

Important information for presenters:
Each presentation will last a maximum of 20 mins.
Each panel includes 3 presentations that are grouped according to their common theme. Panels will last 1 hour and a half distributed as follows: 
 
- 1 hour for three paper presentations
- Half an hour for discussion, questions, and comments between presenters and the audience.
