Call for Papers

On the occasion of the bicentenary of Allan Poe’s birth, the Instituto Franklin of the Universidad de Alcalá organizes an international conference to deal with Edgar Allan Poe and his relevance in the 21st century.

The main objective of the conference is to bring together the highest number of specialists and researchers of Poe Literature in order to reflect on the study of this area, and to publicize new works on his works in a century of crisis, not only economic, but social and cultural.

Papers related with Edgar Allan Poe, either independent studies or comparative studies, would be accepted.

The languages of the conference will be English and Spanish.

Deadline for acceptance: April, 1st 2009.

Conference would take place at Universidad de Alcalá in Spain.
