How to get to León
*By plane:
The airport of Leon (code LEN) is located at the outskirts of León, 6 kms away from he city center. It takes about 10 minutes by taxi (around 14€) to get to the town centre.
There are daily connections with the international airports of Madrid and Barcelona. Please find here possible schedule at airport websites: Barajas Madrid Airport and Leon Airport.
*By bus (from Madrid): There are two options:
- From Barajas Airport T4 terminal. It is possible to reach León taking the bus at Barajas Airport (Madrid). The route goes from the ALSA bus stop, located in front of T4 Arrivals Terminal up to Leon Bus Station. For further information, please click here.
- From the Bus Station Estación Sur de Autobuses, also called Estación de Méndez Álvaro. Subway station "Mendez Alvaro"(line 6). The bus company that connects to León is called "ALSA". It is possible to buy the ticket online through the website.
The bus will arrive at the León Bus Station, which is located at Avenida Ingeniero Saenz de Miera.
*By train (from Madrid): Trains to León departures from Chamartin Train Station. To get to the station from the airport, please take the subway line 8 (“Metro”) and then change at Nuevos Ministerios, take line 10 direction "Hospital del Norte" and get off at Chamartín.

* By taxi: You can take a taxi at Madrid Barajas Airport up to León but make sure to ask about the cost of the run and the extra luggage charges before taking a taxi.
* By car: From Madrid it can be reached by car taking the A-6 motorway, way-out A-66 after passing Benavente.
How to get the Parador de León
Address: Plaza San Marcos, 7, 24001 León.
The Parador is located at the Plaza de San Marcos, next to the bridge of the same name over the River Bernesga (in the city follow signs for the Edificio Histórico Monumental San Marcos).
