HispaUSA is a non-profitable association, which main objective is to promote the study and research of different areas related to the Hispanic society in the US, as well as to encourage the relationships between the Hispanics in the US and Spain. Its headquarters are located at Instituto Franklin – UAH.

In this section you will find information on North America and North American Studies, related to media issues and social networks, which are of general interest.
Other activities developed to serve the community are also included.

Students can participate in different volunteering opportunities, which help them support the local community, integrate more into Spanish society and increase their cultural awareness and skills. In the orientation sessions students are informed about different options (environmental activities, assisting teachers in schools, special education volunteering…).
Instituto Franklin - UAH Newsletter is published in an electronic format twice a year (July and December). This publication includes relevant information on the events and other activities organized at our venue.

La decisión del Departamento de Estado norteamericano de concederle un visado a la hija de Raul Castro para que participe en un simposio de la Asociación de Estudios Latinoamericanos en San Francisco, la semana que viene, ha provocado duras críticas al Gobierno y al Departamento de Estado por parte de varios legisladores, republicanos y demócratas.
Increíble pero cierto: una parte de los 2.600 millones de euros que el mayor banco de EEUU, JP Morgan, ha perdido en sus operaciones de derivados en Londres, fue apostando contra una unidad del propio banco. Es decir: mientras una unidad de JP Morgan vendía seguros de impago de deuda (CDS) de empresas, otra unidad del banco los compraba.
La ayuda estadounidense a los insurgentes en Siria ya está en marcha, según afirma el diario estadounidense «The Washington Post». El rotativo, que lleva la historia a su portada, asegura que «los rebeldes sirios que combaten al presidente Bashar al Assad han comenzado a recibir más y mejores armas en las últimas semanas, un esfuerzo pagado por los países del Golfo Pérsico y coordinado parcialmente por los Estados Unidos».
