Master in American Studies

Calendar and Schedule

This Master's Program has been designed to accomplish graduate students’ needs, solving their schedule problems mainly caused by labor issues. Our courses take place from November to June, on weekends with the following schedule: Fridays from 15:45 to 20:45 and Saturdays from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 20:00. This Master's Program lasts one academic year, although there is the possibility to complete the 60 ECTS credits on one additional academic year.

  1. Will the classes be taught in English?
    Yes, classes will be mostly taught in English. A C1 level is required.
  2. When and where are the classes held?
    Classes take place at Colegio de los Trinitarios, where Instituto Franklin - UAH is located, or in any other building determined by the Universidad de Alcalá. Classes are held on Fridays (only evenings) and Saturdays.
  3. How many hours of class will a student have to attend to pass the subject?

Admission

  1. To access the Master's Program students are required to possess a Spanish Bachelor’s Degree or another degree issued by a Higher Education Institution belonging to the European Higher Education Space, which entitles the bearer in the country of issue to access a Master’s Degree.

Library resources

Students and Scholars can use the different libraries of the Universidad de Alcalá, which enclose 250.000 volumes, 1.700 magazine titles and periodical publications.

All Faculties offer an inter-library loan service that allows students to borrow material from internal libraries and other libraries from Spain. You can also use Instituto Franklin - UAH Library and Biblioteca Nacional (National Library) Store.

Objectives

The objective of our Master's Program is to educate experts with a solid knowledge on American Studies in order to deal with the international relations, qualified management and economic relations fields.
