Instituto Franklin - UAH and the Middelburg Center for Transatlantic Studies (MCTS) offer UAH faculty the opportunity to teach either Fall or Spring one semester- length courses during the 2010/ 2012 academic years.
The Middleburg Center for Transatlantic Studies is a Consortium of European and North American Universities that works to encourage and promote a transatlantic perspective by providing faculty and students with a unique multicultural environment in order to aid their personal, professional, and academic development. The MCTS program provides faculty with an opportunity to teach abroad and to interact with a variety of colleagues and students from around the world.
Courses needed for the Spring 2011 semester are:
1) “International Criminal Law”
2) “Rhetoric”
Courses needed for the Fall 2012:
1) “Humanitarian Issues and Law”
2) “Cross Cultural Communication and Psycghology”.
Other proposals with a comparative, transatlantic approach for other academic disciplines are also accepted.
The Middleburg Center for Transatlantic Studies provides visiting scholars with lodging (a shared house for faculty) and office accommodations. Meals and other expenses will be covered by Instituto Franklin - UAH.
