Last Tuesday, June 22nd, Instituto Franklin - UAH held the “Teach & Learn Program" Graduation Ceremony at UAH’s Paraninfo. It was hosted by José Santiago Fernández Vásquez, Vice President for Coordination and Communication of the Universidad de Alcalá. The ceremony was also presented by Olga Villegas, Teach & Learn Program Coordinator, Rosa Mª García Barroso, Program Coordinator
at Instituto Franklin, and José Antonio Gurpegui, Director.
Following the ceremony, the Institute offered a lunch for the graduate students at San Ildefonso Building.
The "Teach and Learn" program offers North American students the possibility of studying a Master’s related to Education under a scholarship scheme, and also provides internship experience as Language Assistants in schools throughout the Community of Madrid. The students receive a monthly stipend.
During the first year of the program (2008-2009) there were 29 students, the second year there were 65 students and during the third year (2010-2011) there are 78 students registered.
