Graduation Ceremony of the Spanish Studies Program

The traditional graduation ceremony for the members of the Hispanic Studies Program of Instituto Franklin - UAH took place on April 28th.
The event was held at the Conferences Hall of the Colegio Mayor in San Ildefonso, one of the most emblematic buildings of Universidad de Alcalá.

José Antonio Gurpegui, Director of Instituto Franklin - UAH, hosted the event along with Gerardo Poyo, St. Mary's Program Director, Sheri Anderson, Program Director of Colorado State University, and Rosa Mª García Barroso and Antonio Fernández, from Instituto Franklin. Diplomas were presented during the ceremony to each student and it was followed by a snack at Colegio de Trinitarios.

In the afternoon the traditional Talent Show was presented at the Galera Theater. In this show, students from the "Theory and Practice of Theatre” course work throughout the semester and showcase their talent to their peers. On this ocassion they acted on an emotional play related to September 11, 2011 attacks. After the performance, Instituto Franklin – UAH proceeded to award the winners of the literature and photography contests.

Afterwards, the magazine “Alcalá a tus Pies”, written entirely by students in the course "Modern Spain through Media" was presented. To end the ceremony, the yearbook that was created this semester was presented.
